What stairs did they walk down to get to the secluded bay of Kalami?We are now opening The White House on certain exclusive dates so you can come inside to see Durrell memorabilia, walk through the rooms lived in by Lawrence Durrell and enjoy the very same views the Durrell family enjoyed on their visits to the White House.You can take photos, sit and contemplate in the rooms the Durrell family once passed through, and of course you can buy some gifts at the souvenir shop that will remind you of your visit and the house’s unique atmosphere and history. At the shop, you can also get a stamp for your favourite Durrell book that says that you were here – at Lawrence’s home, The White House.
